The Grass Explosion
Grass went from ~40K to ~105K points in a single month.

What changed? Three things:
- Better uptime. The Grass desktop app is running more consistently via
systemdandXvfb. More hours online = more points. - Network growth. Grass rewards increase as the network matures and attracts more data buyers.
- Compounding reputation. Longer-running nodes tend to receive more tasks.
At 7,000 points per day, Grass alone projects to $70-100/month — from one app, on one machine.
The catch remains: Grass pays in $GRASS tokens on Solana. The USD value depends on token price. I’m holding, not selling.
The Steady Earners
Honeygain continues to be the most reliable cash earner at $8.86. With JumpTask’s 10% crypto bonus, it’s approaching the $10/month mark. Boring and consistent — exactly what you want.
Pawns.app hit $1.93 — nearly at the $2 threshold. It’s been the biggest surprise of the stack. From $0.18 in Month 1 to nearly $2 in Month 3.
The bandwidth trio — EarnFM ($0.88), Traffmonetizer ($0.61), PacketStream ($0.30) — continue their slow but steady climb. Together they add $1.79/month at zero extra cost.
Repocket remains the smallest earner at $0.11, but it takes zero resources to run.
Storj: The Long Game
Storj is playing out exactly as expected — slow now, big later.

The 75% hold continues until October 2026. When that releases, monthly payouts should jump to $10-20+. The held balance is building steadily — $3.09 locked away, growing every month.

The $5,000 goal moved from “very unlikely” to “possible with referral growth.” The apps alone won’t get there, but the blog is starting to rank on Google and drive real traffic to signup links.

Google sent us a milestone notification: “Your site reached 10 clicks from Google Search.” Posts are ranking on page 1 for queries about passive income apps and Mac Mini setups.
Every post is another referral surface. Every click is a potential signup. This is where the $5,000 path opens up.
What I Learned in Month 3
- Grass is the engine. It went from 30% of earnings to 83%. If you only run one app, make it Grass.
- Consistency compounds. Every app grew for the third straight month. No exceptions.
- Don’t touch what works. The server ran with minimal intervention. Docker restart policies and watchdog scripts handle the edge cases.
- The blog is an investment. It takes months to rank, but it’s starting to pay off in search traffic.
- Hold your crypto. Selling Grass tokens early would have left money on the table.
Month 4 Goals
- Maintain Grass uptime above 95%
- Promote posts on Twitter and Reddit
- Track first referral signups
- Monitor Storj held balance growth
- Hit 50 Google Search clicks
